The Johanna Quarter – the workplace of the future in Fredstan

The Johanna block is nearing completion. Here, Hufvudstaden is developing modern and flexible spaces for offices, shops, and restaurants in direct connection to the vibrant city life of Gothenburg.

The Stureplansgruppen is opening a rooftop restaurant on Södra Hamngatan, Nordic Wellness is establishing a gym on Drottninggatan, and Cecil Coworking will offer workspaces with top-notch service and a professional network. These service concepts contribute to creating movement in the area and add value for tenants and visitors to Fredstan.

Hufvudstaden has chosen to name the block Johanna as a tribute to two institutions of Gothenburg – the statue "Johanna i Brunnsparken" and the legendary restaurant Johanna that was located in the former building on “Brända tomten”. The first tenants will take over in early 2026.
